The Young Sounds Big Band Jazz Camp is a 3-day immersive program designed for student musicians who want to grow their skills, build confidence, and perform as part of a dynamic group. Whether you’re a sax player, trumpeter, trombonist, or rhythm section musician, this camp puts you right in the heart of the band.
Throughout the camp, students will focus on both individual musicianship and ensemble performance, learning how their part fits into the larger sound of a Big Band.
What Students Will Learn
- Instrument-Specific Techniques
Improve tone, articulation, phrasing, and control through focused instruction - Big Band Fundamentals
Understand section roles (sax, brass, rhythm) and how to lock in with the group - Reading & Interpreting Charts
